Edwardsburg wins first Lakeland jamboree, Rangers finish second

COLOMA – The Lakeland Conference finally got to squeeze a jamboree in between rain drops on Monday afternoon and the results were predicable.

Defending league champion Edwardsburg was the class of the field, winning by 29 strokes over runner-up Cassopolis. The Eddies shot 160, led by medalist Chris Eaton’s even par 36. The Rangers finished with a 189.

Coloma and Buchanan both shot 192, but the Comets earned third place points based on fifth-man scoring. Brandywine was fifth with a 196, while Bridgman and Berrien Springs finished at 203 and 205 respectively.

Besides Eaton’s round, the Eddies also got a pair of 41s from Brody Baucus and Max Habicht. Dominic Razzano and Pierce Bourgelous both finished at 42. Austin Tevlin shot 45.

Blaise Suseland led the Rangers with a 41. Derek Blank shot 42 to pace the Bucks, while Zack Rose shot 41 for the Bobcats.
