Dunn to speak to Economic Club of Michiana this week

Robert M. Dunn, Managing Director of the Center for Nano Science and Technology (NDnano) and the Midwest Institute of Nanoelectronics Discovery (MIND) will speak to The Economic Club of Michiana, Wednesday, April 27.
The noon luncheon will be held at Windsor Park Conference Center, 4020 Edison Lakes Parkway, Mishawaka. Cost of the luncheon is $15 for members, $17 for guests and $7.50 for students.

Dunn serves as both an advocate of the organizations and a facilitator for them, working closely with faculty, staff and industry and government partners as the research activities in these centers continue to grow. He will also coordinate outreach and commercialization efforts and the development of an industrial affiliates network.
Prior to joining the University of Notre Dame in 2001, Dunn served as vice president of corporate manufacturing staff at IBM. During his 40 years at IBM his responsibilities progressed from those of design engineer to the manager of major product development program for IBMs midrange processors. Dunn graduated from the University of Notre Dame in 1965 with a bachelors degree in engineering science and received a masters degree in engineering mechanics from Penn State as well as a doctorate in aeronautical engineering from the University of Illinois.
The Economic Club of Michiana is the Michiana Chapter of the National Association of Business Economists. Membership in The Economic Club provides a great opportunity for a relaxed and informative association with leaders of the academic, professional and business communities. The association is a forum for the discussion of common economic and business problems and provides a means of communication for the exchange of experiences and ideas and research in matters of public policy affecting the business community and business policy as it relates to the local, regional and national economy.
The club holds six meetings a year. Speakers may be economist, think-tank gurus, market specialists, local business persons and national, regional and Indiana business or political figures.
