EDWARDSBURG — For the second straight year, the Edwardsburg wrestling team kept the Buchanan Bucks from claiming an outright Lakeland Conference championship.

In 2010, the Eddies grabbed the undisputed title after the Bucks finished third overall at the league tournament.

On Saturday, host Edwardsburg split the conference title after winning the tournament, while Buchanan finished second.

In both years, Buchanan defeated the Eddies during the regular season.

Edwardsburg captured five individual championships on Saturday and claimed four second place finishes to outscored the Bucks.

Buchanan finished with five individual champs, but only had three second place finishers.

Winning titles for Edwardsburg were Michael Kempton (125), Blake King (130), Ryan Loupee (145), Lee Williamson (152) and Stephen Coble (189).

Taking championships for Buchanan were Jeff Mucha (135), John Kuntz (160), Gage Hutchison (171), Mack Green (215) and Dustan Craig (285).

Brandywine had one invidual champion as Paul Lochmondy pinned Dylan Dixon of Edwardsburg in 3:40 at 103-pounds.

Finishing second for the Bobcats were Jimmie Wright (119), Arthur Morris (125), Chanc Ravish (130), Alex Humphrey (152) and A.J. Shell (215).
