Deltha Mae Lanier, 84, died Wednesday, Oct. 6, 2010 in Cass County Medical Care, Cassopolis.
She was born March 6, 1926 in Humboldt, Tenn. to Joe and Maybelle (Travis) Wilkins. She married Robert Lanier in 1946. He preceded her in death in 1988.
Deltha is survived by four daughters and sons-in-law, Emmajean and Eldridge White of Covert and Rosa and David Haines of Cassopolis, Ruby and James McCullen of Covert, Mamie Lanier; six sons and daughters-in-law, Willie and Birdie Lanier of Benton Harbor, Ernest and Andrea Lanier of Kalamazoo, Taylor and Phyllis Lanier of Goshen, Nathan and Tracy Lanier of Longmont, Colo., Dale and Barbara Lanier of Reno, Nev. and Jeff and Gina Lanier of Firestone, Colo.; 39 grandchildren; a multitude of great-grandchildren; and one sister, Algamae Jenkins of Flint.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by three sons: Arthur Lanier, James Lanier and Robert Lanier.
Family and friends gathered Monday, Oct. 11, 2010 at 1:00 p.m. for a service in the Church of Cassopolis, 520 Pearl St.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Connelly Chapel, Wagner Family Funerals, Cassopolis.
