Chris Siriano is also buying Kathy and George Markham’s building that formerly housed Front Street Winery, where his wife, Crystal, will be opening a smoothie bar and a fitness wellness company. Siriano earlier decided to purchase Ken Schutter’s building that formerly housed Mr. K’s Wearhouse and Embroidery.
He will be closing on that site Sept. 20.
His House of David Museum, which he opened in Riverside in 1997, will be relocating to that property, with a November opening anticipated.
Siriano plans to close on the Markham’s building Oct. 1. Crystal presently operates fitness wellness companies in Manitou Beach and Adrian.
Dowagiac will be her third location.
As soon as he closes on Mr. K’s, Chris plans to immediately begin interior and exterior renovations on both buildings, also renovating the second level into apartments.
He envisions opening up the two adjacent properties to create an interior bricked archway leading into an area that can be used jointly by the museums and wellness center for seminars and lectures. Names under consideration for her third location include “Shake at the Lake.”
She will offer six- to 12-week fitness classes geared to teach people how to eat property and to live longer lives. Rather than hit-and-miss diet plans, the center encourages lifestyle changes and natural methods of weight loss. Crystal has been working in the fitness field for 15 years.
The fruit bar will feature everything from banana to peach smoothies. The front façade renovation of Zeke’s is serving as Siriano’s inspiration as he huddles with “magical” Amish contractors.
Depending upon the result of interior renovations, he may also open a real estate office in one of the two buildings, or perhaps a third location, if he finds the two buildings tight on space.
