Steve Allen Clayton

Steve Allen Clayton, born May 27, 1964, in Dowagiac, went to his Lord July 21, 2010, at Borgess Medical Center, Kalamazoo.

He was preceded in death by: his father, David E. Clayton; mother, Joyce Clayton; brothers, Ernest Don Clayton and Ronnie David Clayton; and sisters, Joyce Gant and Charlotte Ann Clayton.

Steve left behind his loving brothers and sister, Cathy (Larry) Burgess of Mountain Home, Ark., Gail (Ken) Confer of Dowagiac, Pat Miracle of Dowagiac, Cherry Ann Clayton of Coldwater, Pam (Joe) Swift of Hartford, Mary Miller of Dowagiac, Roger (Karen) Clayton of Mountain Home, Robert Clayton of Niles and Bobby Gene Clayton of Tennessee; 19 grandchildren; 46 great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren.

Steve loved to work on his Harley Davidson, building it from the ground up.

He also loved to work on his yard and enjoyed his cats and “The Simpsons.”

Cremation has taken place.

Memorials may be made to Cass County Animal Shelter.

His family will be at Mill Pond Park Saturday, July 31, from 1 to 2 p.m. to see family and friends.

Balloons will be released in his memory at 2.
