CASSOPOLIS – Cass County commissioners Thursday night appointed Tara Hicks of Vandalia to Woodlands Behavioral Healthcare Network board for a  term ending March 31, 2011.

In other business, the commission ended the evening in closed session with Robert Slavin and Deputy Clerk Ruth Gardner to “review and consider the contents of applications for employment or appointment to a public office in accordance with Paragraph 15268, Section 8, sub-paragraph (f) of the Open Meetings Act, P.A. 267.”

At the same March 9 meeting where commissioners appointed former Benzie County administrator Charles J. “Chuck” Clarke as interim county administrator/controller, Slavin Management Consultants of Norcross, Ga., was selected as the search firm to identify 20-year County Administrator-Controller Terry L. Proctor’s successor.
