The Julie Cox Fedore Foundation will award one $500 college scholarship to a high school senior.
Scholarship applications are available at Dowagiac Union High School, Cassopolis Ross Beatty High School and the Cass County 4-H office in Cassopolis.
Students must submit a completed application, high school transcript and letter of recommendation from school faculty by June 4.
A 1997 memorial park in front of the 2002 draft horse show arena at the fairgrounds in Cassopolis remembers Julie, who graduated from Union High in 1974.  An “extraordinary leader, teacher and friend,” she was key leader for Sleepy Hollow 4-H club, the youth draft horse superintendent and a former MSU Extension 4-H youth agent.
