Dear editor:

Knights of Columbus, Dowagiac Council 2113, would like to extend a HUGE
thank you to all of the businesses and individuals who gave so generously
this year to our Tootsie Roll drive.
We would like to thank the City of Dowagiac, Village of Cassopolis, city
officials and council members for supporting our drive again this year.
Thank you to the Dowagiac Daily News for publicizing our drive, and thank
you to all of our volunteers who made our Tootsie Roll drive possible this
year.
We collected $3,470, with 80 percent, or $2,776 of the proceeds, being
returned to Cass County to benefit local mentally handicapped programs.
The remaining 20 percent will go to mentally handicapped programs statewide.
