Dorothy Lillian Wallace, 87, of 4293 East River Rd., Buchanan died at 1:50 p.m. Sunday, April 18, 2010 at Lakeland Community Hospital, Niles of natural causes.
She was born May 4, 1922 in Berrien Springs. She was a lifetime area resident.
She was involved with the Buchanan High School cafeteria and was employed at Schneider’s Vending.
She married George Wallace Jr. on Aug. 11, 1940 in Buchanan. He died Nov. 9, 2005. She is also preceded in death by her parents, Floyd and Inza Dunifin.
She is survived by a son, Ray (Beverly) Wallace, of Three Rivers; daughters, Shirley Ann (Euthel) Wilson, of Niles and Barbara Phelps, of Niles; brothers, Bob Dunifin, of Niles and Edward Dunifin, of Edwardsburg; sister, Bernice Black, of Mishawaka; grandchildren, Todd Wallace, Scott Wallace, Theresea Pelk and Karen Paton; and great-grandchildren, Brad, Kory, Colin, Walter, William, Kerri, Sky, Autumn and Dawn.
Services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, April 23, 2010 at Hoven Funeral Home, Buchanan with Pastor Sean Kidd of Buchanan Christian Church, Buchanan officiating.
Burial will be at Mission Hills Memorial Gardens, Niles.
