LMC finishes seventh at NJCAA finals

EAST PEORIA, Ill. – The Lake Michigan College women’s basketball team finished seventh at the NJCAA National Tournament on Saturday.
The Indians defeated Monroe College 62-56 in the seventh place game at Illinois Central College.
Lake Michigan rebounded from its opening game loss in the tournament to win its next three to finish seventh.
Former Dowagiac All-Stater Katy Stuppy scored 12 points, grabbed three rebounds and dished out three assists in 33-plus minutes of play for the Indians.
Miranda Strefling led LMC with a game-high 20 points.
Niles’ Kaleigh Hill finished with four points and two rebounds.
