KALAMAZOO – Western Michigan runner and former Niles standout Autumn Grayson placed first in her heat and 57th overall in the 800-meter run with a time of 2:31 at the Grand Valley State Big Meet on Saturday.

Other competitors in the race included Michigan State, Detroit Mercy, Eastern Michigan, Florida International, Spring Arbor and Adrian College.

The Broncos travel to Ball State University this Saturday before heading to the Mid-American Conference Indoor championships at Central Michigan University in two weeks.
