Bridgman too much for ‘Cats

BRIDGMAN – The host Bridgman Bees clinched their 14th consecutive winning season Friday night with a 61-30 Lakeland Conference boys’ basketball victory over Brandwine.
The Bees improved to 5-1 in the conference to keep their hopes of defending their league championship alive and are now 11-2 overall.
Brandywine falls to 4-10 on the season and 1-7 in league contests.
It was over early as Bridgman jumped out to an 18-6 lead after one period of play.
The lead reached 31-12 by halftime and the Bees were up 46-21 heading to the final quarter.
Zane Copeland led a balanced Bridgman attack with 13 points.
Conner Magro and Michael Kamp scored 12 and 11 respectively for the Bees.
Stone Hadley and Erin Marquardt each scored eight points for the Bobcats, who also got six points each from Lance Prescott and Joe Godfrey.
