STEVENSVILLE – The Niles wrestling team went 0-4 at the Lakeshore Super Duals on Saturday against some of the top teams in the state of Michigan.

The Vikings were defeated by No. 2 (Division 1) Lowell in the opening round 55-9, lost to No. 3 (Division 3) Saginaw Swan Valley 56-18, lost to Mason 40-33 and lost to No. 2 (Division 3) Richland 61-6.

Lowell avenged an earlier loss to host Lakeshore (31-22) and went on to win the tournament with a 4-0 record.

Richland was 3-1, Lakeshore (No. 2 in Division 2) was 2-2, Swan Valley was 2-2 and Mason was 1-3.

Niles’ Gage Pearison (119) was the lone Viking wrestler to post a 3-1 record.
