National Influenza Vaccination Week (NIVW) is a national observance that was established to highlight the importance of continuing influenza vaccination, as well as fostering greater use of flu vaccine after the holiday season into January and beyond. This year’s NIVW (originally scheduled for Dec. 6-10) is now rescheduled for Jan. 10-16.

Wal-Mart and Mollen Immunization Clinics announced that Mollen health care professionals will administer additional H1N1 flu shots in select Wal-Mart stores during NIVW. Customers will find specific dates, times and locations for the H1N1 vaccination clinic at flushotsusa.walmart.com.

The Niles Wal-Mart will host a clinic from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Friday.
