1st Source Bank is excited to show its community spirit in a new marketing campaign that will result in donations to the United Way.
Beginning this week, through Oct. 3, 2009, 1st Source Bank will feature “Community Spirit Days” and will make a $10 donation to the United Way for every new checking account that is opened.
“We know it’s tough out there for charitable organizations,” said Mary Chmiel, 1st Source Senior Vice President.
“Donations are down and requests are up. 1st Source has been giving back to the community since 1863 and this campaign is another way that we can help those in need.”
1st Source is a strong supporter of the United Way. In addition to regular donations by the bank, 1st Source employees donated more than $175,000 to the United Way in 2008.
Those who open a checking account will also receive a coupon for a free lunch.
