BROOKLYN – A NASCAR event at Michigan International Speedway is family friendly and fun for all ages.

Several new kids initiatives have been launched at the racetrack, with a new effort set for this weekend’s Show Me the CARFAX Race Weekend.

Americrown Services Corporation, MIS’ souvenir and catering partner, will debut its “Kidz Rock!” souvenir trailer.  It will carry a selection of youth-geared fan merchandise including track and NASCAR-themed items, driver-licensed items, toys, games and other souvenirs.  All items in the “Kidz Rock!” trailer will be priced under $20, exclusive of tax. The “Kidz Rock!” trailer will travel to other ISC-owned racetracks.

The “Kidz Rock!” trailer will be located near the new interactive Kids Zone in the New Holland Fan Plaza, where kids can test their abilities on rock climbing walls or race their parents in an inflatable obstacle course.

“We’re thrilled to debut Americrown’s Kidz Rock! trailer at our new Kids Zone,” said Michigan International Speedway President Roger Curtis. “This program reinforces our family-friendly environment and complements other efforts such as free general admission for children under 12. In addition, it helps lower overall cost of attending an event while adding value to our guests, something that we at Michigan International Speedway, and all ISC tracks across the country, take very seriously.”

Americrown and MIS also introduced a special kids meal. For $4, kids can buy a tasty meal of chicken nuggets, apple slices, juice box and a toy.

Remember: Kids 12 and under are admitted free to all events at MIS. If accompanied by an adult who has purchased a ticket, all kids 12 and under will receive a free ticket to the general admission grandstands 14 and 16 located between turns 3 and 4. This offer is available for this Sunday’s NASCAR Sprint Cup Series CARFAX 400.

Kids 12 and under are also free to other great racing events at MIS, including Sprint Cup qualifying and practice on Friday and the NASCAR Nationwide Series CARFAX 250 on Saturday.
