‘Rethink Afghanistan’ to be shown at Cass District Library

CASSOPOLIS – As part of its free monthly film series, WAND (Women's Action for New Directions) will show the ground breaking, full length documentary "Rethink Afghanistan" on Monday, July 27 at the Cass District Library on M-62 in Cassopolis at 5:30 p.m.
The film focuses on the key issues surrounding this war. It raises critical questions that Congress must address in oversight hearings, which inform the public and challenge policymakers. Interviews and discussion with experts on Afghanistan in three parts: Part one focuses on what military escalation will achieve. Part two looks at how the war could further destabilize a nuclear armed Pakistan; and part three focuses on the staggering cost for the war which could easily exceed one trillion.
