CASSOPOLIS – Sheriff Joseph M. Underwood Jr. reports that his department investigated a motor vehicle crash, on Saturday, July 4, at the intersection of M-62 and Harris Street in Jefferson Township.
According to the officer's report, vehicle driven by Ruth Wolford, 60, of Edwardsburg was turning west on Harris Street from M-62 when a vehicle driven by Casey Dvorak, 19, of Granger, Ind., failed to stop and struck the back of Wolford's vehicle.
Wolford was transported to the hospital for what appears to be minor injuries, Dvorak was not injured in the crash. Seatbelts were used and alcohol does not appear to be a factor.
Cass County Sheriff's Deputies were assisted on scene by Life Care ambulance and Edwardsburg Fire Dept.
