A Conference champion

THREE RIVERS – Sophomore Kaisha Martin won a pair of Wolverine Conference track championship on Friday at Three Rivers High School.
Vicksburg won the girls' title with 108.75 points. Dowagiac was seventh with 57 points.
Martin won the 100-meter title with a time of 12.3, which is a new school record.
Martin previously shared the record with April Saxton.
She was also a member of the Chieftains' 400-meter relay team.
She, along with Bria Brookins, Cierra Mattix and Kelsie Primley ran a time of 51.97.
Martin was also second in the 200-meters with a time of 26.89.
Kayleigh Hutchings finished second in the discus with a toss of 94-5, while Regina Kennedy was fifth in the shot put with distance of 28-4.5.
Emily Primley was third in the pole vault with a height of 9-feet. Andrea Bradshaw took eighth in the long jump with a leap of 14-6.
Jacoya Brookins took seventh in the 100-meter hurdles (17.6), while the Chieftains' 800-meter relay team finished third (1:54.63).
Correisha Rodgers took eighth in the 400-meters (1:06.21).
Vicksburg also won the boys' portion of the meet with 176.63 points. Dowagiac was ninth with 24.26 points.
Kyle Wright took second in the pole vault with a height of 12-feet, while Aaron Caldwell was 10th in the shot put with a toss of 38-9.5.
Shaun Bruens finished fourth in the long jump with a mark of 20-2.25. Troy Butcher finished eighth in the 100-meters with a clocking of 11.99.
The Chieftains were sixth in the 800-meter relay (1:35.78), Efrain Soto ninth in the 400-meters (53.25) and Kasey Proshwitz 10th in the 800-meters (2:09.33).
Damone Huff grabbed a fourth place finish in the 200-meters (23.96), while the Chieftains' 1,600-meter relay team took seventh (3:40.13).
