Eddies win another jamboree

BUCHANAN – The Edwardsburg golf team won its second straight Lakeland Conference Jamboree on Wednesday at Brookwood Golf Course.
The Eddies shot 180 to easily defeat runner-up Cassooplis, which finished with a 187.
Coloma was third with a 190, Berrien Springs fourth with a 200, Brandywine fifth with a 200, Bridgman sixth with a 205, River Valley seventh with a 207 and Buchanan eighth with a 209.
Berrien Springs took fourth place over Brandywine based on the fifth man tiebreaker.
The Bobcats' Dillon Bailey earned medalist honors as he finished with a 38.
The Eddies were led by Chris Eaton's 43.
Edwardsbug also got a 45 from both Cameron Barber and Curtis Holems. Dominic Razzano shot 47, Brody Baucus 49 and Pierce Borgesis 55.
Besides Bailey's total, the Bobcats also got a 48 from Tyler Hill, a 53 from Zach Rosse and 61s from Nate Balent, Jason Andrews and Colton Ditto.
Buchanan was paced by Jeff Jerue's 45.
The Bucks also got a 49 from Derek Blank, a 56 from Brent Brown, a 59 from RJ Mewton and a 60 from Kole Griffey.
Landon Wright led Cassopolis with a 42.
The Rangers also picked up a 46 from Kim Vaughn, a 47 from Aaron Goodrich, a 52 from Blaise Suseland, a 55 from Chris Coates and a 62 from Tim Coates.
The league returns to the links on Monday at Orchard Hills as Buchanan hosts.
