Fall band concert presented Nov. 7

Southwestern Michigan College present its fall band concert at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Nov. 7, in the theater of the Dale A. Lyons Building on the Dowagiac campus.
The SMC Symphonic Band, Jazz Ensemble, Brass Band and Flute Choir will perform under the direction of Dr. Jon Korzun, director of bands.
Selections by the Symphonic Band will include the march "Mid-West 50" by Stephen Bulla, "Reflections in a Tidal Pool" by James Bonney, "Fortess" by Frank Ticheli and "Clowns" by Philip Parker.
The Brass Band's portion of the program will include "Images for Brass," a tribute to the battle of Iwo Jima by Stephen Bulla, "Forgotten Dreams" by Leroy Anderson and "The Clock and the Dresden Figures" by Albert Ketelby featuring three mallet percussionists.
The concert will close with the combined band performing "Olympic Fanfare and Theme" by John Williams and the Leroy Anderson favorite "Bugler's Holiday."
General admission is $7 and $5 for students and senior citizens.
Ages 18 and under are free.
