LMC hosting three economic forums Oct. 27

BENTON HARBOR – The country's financial crisis is affecting millions of Americans, including residents of southwest Michigan.
George A. Erickcek, W.E. Upjohn Institute senior regional analyst and senior economist, will present a series of economic summits at three Lake Michigan College campuses on Monday, Oct. 27, to address the U.S.'s failing economy and the impact on southwest Michigan.
The summits will take place as follows:
South Haven Campus, 125 Veterans Boulevard (Room: SH 141). Time: 8-9:30 a.m. Continental breakfast will be served.
Napier Avenue Campus, Mendel Center (Room: F-103). Time: 11:45 a.m.-1 p.m. Lunch will be served.
Bertrand Crossing Campus, 1905 Foundation Drive, Niles (Room: BC 115). Time: 3:30 – 4:30 p.m. Light refreshments will be served.
Erickcek's presentation will also include information on the state's auto industry and its effect on the local region. He will also provide suggested growth opportunities for businesses, both big and small, in southwest Michigan.
