Melander Darrell Jenkins, Jr., 23, of Chicago, Ill., formerly of Niles, died on Sunday, Oct. 12, 2008.
Visitation will be on Monday, Oct. 20, from 4 to 7 p.m. at Jones Funeral Home, 3240 W. 79th St., Chicago, Ill.
Funeral services will be on Tuesday, Oct. 21, from 10 a.m. to noon, also at the funeral home with burial to follow at 11500 S. Fairfield Ave., Chicago, Ill.
He was born on Feb. 6, 1985, in Chicago, Ill. to Melander Darrell Sr. and Sherridon Lyons.
He attended East West University downtown Chicago.
Surviving family includes his father, Melander Darrell Jenkins, Sr. of Chicago, Ill.; his mother, Sherridon Lyons of Niles; a brother, Jimmy Williams of Niles and a son, Christian Darrell Jenkins of San Juan, Puerto Rico.
