To the editor:
It has been my pleasure and privilege to know Dale Blunier for the past 15 years, both as a member of the Cass County Civitan Club and as a friend.
Dale has a very high standard of ethics and will make a fine judge. Add to this a caring, considerate attitude towards life to make him an outstanding person.
Working with Civitan and our mentally and physically challenged friends reveals both caring and kindness.
I remember Dale calling bingo at one of or many parties, wearing a Santa hat, teasing and laughing with our guests – making the game special! Then he asked, "Do you want me to sing?" answered by a chorus of "Nooo!"
It has always bothered me that Dale is described as "defense attorney" when he is defending some of those who cannot afford an attorney instead of "public defender," which, in fact, he is.
I truly believe he is in a better position to judge the proper disposition of the cases that come before a judge based on his years of experience in the courts.
I ask you to consider the ethics, the experience and the caliber of the man and vote for Dale Blunier Nov. 4.
