Patricia's life began on Jan. 11, 1930, in Adrian, the daughter of Carrel E. and Ethel V. (Britt) Vollmer.
She is a 1948 graduate of Adrian High School.
She was united in marriage to George Noelander on July 24, 1956, in Dowagiac.
Patricia worked for Casco, Faraday Electronics and Heddon Manufacturing.
She was a gifted commercial artist.
Patricia was a member of the NRA.
Her greatest joy was her family which includes her son Michael K. Smith of Dowagiac, grandson Randy (Angela) Smith of Dowagiac, grandchildren Ashley and Tori Smith of Dowagiac, sisters Janet R. Bates of Albertville, Ala., and Barbara Baines of Roscommon, and she was most appreciative of the care she received from her nurse and friend Heather Pagan of Borgess Hospice.
Patricia passed away at her home on Saturday, Sept. 13, 2008.
She is preceded in death by her husband George Noelander in 2001 and two brothers, Carrell E. Vollmer Jr. and Timothy L. Vollmer.
Her family will gather with friends on Tuesday from 5 to 8 p.m. at McLauchlin-Clark Funeral Home, where her tribute service will be held on Wednesday at 2 p.m. led by Pastor Boyd Saylor and family of the Keeler Church of God.
She will be laid to rest in Crane Cemetery.
Memorial contributions in her name may be directed to Borgess Hospice in appreciation of their wonderful care.
