Saturday, July 12, 2008 – A 2005 Gold Ford Explorer was allegedly stolen from the 400 block of Fort St. in Niles. The vehicle was being used by a relative of the owner, who lives at the 500 block of Cedar St. in Niles when it was allegedly stolen by someone who had stayed at the residence that night. The relative stated that he heard a car start up sometime during the night and found the car missing in the morning. The suspect is a female, approximately 18 years of age.
Sunday, July 13, 2008 – The Pro Quick Mart on 13th Street in Niles reported $30.01 worth of regular gasoline was allegedly stolen in a drive off. The suspect, a white female of unknown age, driving a four door Sedan of unknown make and model, apparently left the gas station without paying for the gasoline.
Wednesday, July 16, 2008 – In the hopes of a safe recovery/return, a report was filed with police of a possibly stolen six-month-old blue nose pit bull puppy from the 300 block of Main Street. The owner told police that the puppy may have chewed through the cable it was tied to.
