Julia Ann Neidlinger "Judy," 68, went to be with the Lord after a long battle with cancer, Sunday, July 13, 2008, at 1:30 a.m. at her home in Galien.
A memorial service will be held at Nub Lake Campground, 1701 Pucker St. in Niles on Saturday, July 26, at 2 p.m. with Pastor Ray Babcock of the Three Oaks Free Methodist Church officiating.
There will be no visitation, cremation will take place.
She was born on Nov. 5. 1939, in South Bend, Ind. to Leroy and Julia Anthony.
She married Edward "Jerry" Neidlinger on Oct. 30, 1963.
She is survived by her husband, Jerry Neidlinger: daughter, Bonnie Ringland of Mishawaka, Ind.; son, George (Moe) Neidlinger of Niles; daughter Kandy K. Kirby of Niles; grandchildren, Whitney Koth, Ryon Koth, Christina Lennon, Jonathon Grove, Joshua Grove, Caitland Neidlinger, Kasey Neidlinger, Briannna Soyk and Eddie Soyk; four great-grandchildren, Chelsee, Rayne, Ashlyn and Justin; two sisters, Barbara (Ray) Stephens and Melani (Rod) Matthews and one brother, Terry Anthony; three sisters-in-law, Emma Jean Johnson, Shirlee Martin (Joe) and Betty Neidlinger.
Her grandson, Michael Soyk, preceded her in death, as did her parents, Leroy Anthony and Julia Fisher.
She was a devoted grandmother and loved spending all of her time with her grandchildren. She also enjoyed fishing and gambling with her sisters. She was an avid NASCAR fan and never missed the chance to cheer for her favorite driver, Jeff Gordon.
She had very special friends and neighbors with whom she had wonderful friendships. These friends included: Craig and Nancy Weaks, Todd and Natalie Swarmes, Dale and Denise Klopfnstun and Caleb and Debra Slavens and their boys, Owen and Adam.
Her husband would like to add a special thanks to all of the nurses and aides of Hospice At Home of Buchanan – all of the women took such wonderful care of his beloved wife.
