Twins win championship

NILES – The Twins captured the Brandywine Cal Ripken World Series championship with a 14-2 win over the Marlins.
The Marlins forced a second championship game after knocking off the undefeated Twins 5-4 in the World Series opener.
In the championship game, Kyle Duncan was the winning pitcher for the Twins.
Alex Hardy led the offensive charge with a pair of doubles and a single.
Also picking up hits were Austtyn Barkman, Duncan, Michael Geiger, Michael Pancoast, Levi Rush and Cody Young.
In the first game of the World Series, the Marlins' Evan Hartman, picked up the victory and had a home run, while Brock Hartline added a double.
Cody Ortiz-Leonard had two hits, while Tyler Jones, Blake Lerner and J.J. McIntire all had hits.
Barkman and Cory Hubbard had hits in the contest for the Twins, who suffered their first loss of the season.
The Twins also won the round robin tournament.
The Twins defeated the Indians 12-2, the Cubs 10-2, the Marlins 8-6 and the Indians 13-3.

Duncan picked up the mound victory, as well as doubled.
The Twins also got a double from Hardy and two singles from Walters.
Geiger, Pancoast and Kale Pollard all added singles.
For the Indians, Alec Nichols and A. Tolliver both had hits.

Alex Walters had a home run and a single for the Twins, who also got two hits from both Hubbard and Pancoast.
Duncan, Geiger and Rush all had hits. Hardy was the winning pitcher.
The Cubs got a double from Kuemen, while Zach Schmidt, Jake Wright, Tommy Newton, Adam Riffel and Kenny Laurita all had hits.

Hardy was again the winning pitcher for the Twins, who got a double from Geiger and singles from both Rush and Hubbard.
The Marlins got a double from Logan Ortiz-Leonard and singles from Cody Ortiz-Leonard, Hartman and Blake Lerner.

Duncan picked up the pitching victory and finished with three hits.
The Twins also got hits from Barkman, Hardy, Hubbard, Pancoast, Pollard and Walters.
The Indians were led offensively by Alec Nichols and Kody Tibbs.
