MacDonald 70th
Paul J. MacDonald and Angie Ruth Rose were united as one on July 17, 1938.
The Rev. Joseph Fox performed the ceremony at the former Federated Church of Dowagiac.
Paul was employed for 37 years at Wolverine Mutual Insurance Co.
He served in the Navy in World War II in the Pacific.
Angie retired after being employed at Dowagiac Public Library and with the Dowagiac school system.
In 1985, the MacDonalds moved to Traverse City, where they now reside at a retirement home.
Four children enriched their lives: Gerald Richard, deceased; Paula (Larry) Hofmeister of Kingsley, Mich.; Dr. Donald (Dr. Ginger) MacDonald of Normandy Park, Wash.; and David (Ginny) of Skandia, Mich.
Twelve special grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren also enriched their lives.
