NILES – Chris Noble, of Niles, won the championship of the Michigan Section of the Junior PGA Championship at Bedford Valley Golf Club in Battle Creek, held June 19-20.
Noble shot 70 and 75 to finish one over par.
Earlier in the week, he earned medalist honors at the Optimists International Junior Golf Challenge at Bent Oak Golf Course in Elkhart, Ind.
His round of 74 earned him the top spot and qualified him for the National Championship July 26-28 at the PGA National in Palm Beach Gardens, Fla.
