Kim Vaughn, 47, of M-51 North, Niles, died at 6:10 p.m. Saturday, June 21, 2008, at Lakeland Community Hospital, Niles.
The family will receive friends at the Bell Professional Building in Niles at 2 p.m. Sunday, June 29, for a time of sharing memories. There will be no visitation.
She was born on Aug. 15, 1960, in Niles, to James and Geneva (Tucker) Lintz and graduated from Niles High School in 1978. She was a lifetime resident of Niles.
She and her husband owned Vaughn's Towing in Niles. She had previously been employed at Belle Plaza Restaurant in Niles.
She raised all of her grandchildren.
She was an artist and enjoyed drawing and painting in all media forms.
On July 2, 1977, in Niles, she married Michael J. Vaughn, who survives.
Additional surviving family includes her son, Mike "Bubba" (Misty) Vaughn and a daughter, Kelli Vaughn, all of Niles; six grandchildren, Henry "Hank" Kujawa, Brooklyn Lintz, Brad Lintz, Jr., Bryce Lintz, James and Tucker Vaughn; her parents, Jim and Geneva Lintz of Niles; Mike's parents, Jim and Joyce Vaughn of Niles; a brother, Keith Lintz of Niles; two sisters, Kathy Vaughn of Niles and Kandi Ditson of Granger, Ind.
She was preceded in death by her grandson, Cole Vaughn, who died in March 2002.
