Today, June 16
7 p.m. – Fourth District judge candidates Dale Blunier, Stacey Rentfrow and Scott Teter will be at Silver Creek Township Hall to express why they believe they are the best judge candidates. Besides hearing what they have to say, you will be the judge by your questions and answers. For further information, contact County Commissioner Ed Goodman at 782-3947. Refreshments will be served.
Tuesday, June 17
7 p.m. – Cass County Historical Society meets at Cass District Library, 319 M-62, Cassopolis, for a program, "Pontiac's Rebellion," by Barbara Cook.
The public is invited. Refreshments will be served.
Thursday, June 19
4 p.m. – Cass County Board of Commissioners regular meeting in the commission chambers, 120 N. Broadway, Suite 217, Cassopolis.
Friday, June 20
5 p.m. – Ham dinner at Keeler United Methodist Church, corner of C.R. 687 and Territorial Road East, Keeler, until 7. Menu: baked ham, parsley potatoes, vegetable, apple sauce, rolls, beverage and dessert. Take-out available. Donations accepted.
Saturday, June 21
8 a.m. – Boy Scout Troop 563 of Dowagiac newspaper and aluminum can drive until noon.
11:30 a.m. – Silver Creek United Methodist Women's salad luncheon until 1:30 p.m. at the church, Middle Crossing at Garrett Road. There will be all kinds of salads, meat dishes, dessert and coffee or tea for a $5 donation.
Everyone is welcome. Proceeds go toward mission projects.
