Tony Rosetto, 77, of Niles, died on Tuesday, June 10, 2008, at 2:15 p.m. of natural causes.
The funeral service will be Friday, June 13, at 11 a.m. at the Swem Funeral Home with Pastor Paul Sewell of Ontonagon, officiating. Military Honors will be given by the American Legion, Post No. 51, Buchanan.
Burial will follow at Oak Ridge Cemetery, Buchanan.
Visitation for family and friends will be on Thursday, June 12, from 4 to 8 p.m., also at the funeral home.
He was born on May 17, 1931, to Antonio and Patrina (Labarbara) Rosetto in Buchanan.
On March 8, 1958, he married Lois Jones in Niles at the First Presbyterian Church.
Surviving is his wife of 50 years, Lois Jean Rosetto of Niles; a daughter, Toni Dawn Rosetto of South Bend, Ind.; a sister, Ann (Robert) Sewell of Rockford, Ill. and a brother, Sam (Mary) Rosetto of Wonder Lake, Ill.
He was preceded in death by brothers, August (Frances) Rosetto and Joseph Rosetto.
Tony was proud to have served in the US Navy for four years during the Korean War. He worked at Electro Voice for 17 years and retired from General Telephone Company.
He was a member of the American Legion, Veterans of Foreign Wars, South County Democratic Club, Tin Can Sailors, and the Humane Society of St. Joseph County.
He enjoyed vegetable gardening, politics, traveling and University of Michigan football. He was friendly and outgoing and a caring husband and father, who had a love for all animals.
Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice at Home, Inc., Pet Refuge of Mishawaka and the Humane Society of St. Joseph County.
