Arrests made in local home invasions

Two South Bend, Ind. residents have been arrested and are are currently being held in the St. Joseph County Jail, Ind. and expected to be extradited to Michigan on home invasion charges.
Arrested were Jesus Mendoza, 18 and Marco Arriaga, 19. A warrant has been issued for a third suspect, an 18-year-old, also from South Bend, Ind.
With the assistance of the St. Joseph County Police Department the Berrien County Sheriff's Department. has made arrests in the multiple home invasions in the Niles Township and Buchanan Township area.
Pursuant to search warrants executed on several homes located in the South Bend area late last week and earlier this week property from three separate homes from Berrien County were located.
After additional follow-up a total of four home invasions have been cleared in Berrien County.
The property recovered includes firearms, jewelry, computers and other household items.
