Women invited to learn about heart health June 2

CASSOPOLIS -Cass County Council on Aging is having Women's Heart Health Day June 2 from 10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. to help spread the word about women's heart health.
A heart-healthy lunch will be served and everyone participating will receive life-saving information on heart health.
Ann Turner, R.N., will discuss diabetes and heart health.
Turner is a registered nurse and diabetes educator at Borgess-Lee Memorial Hospital in Dowagiac.
Cardiologist Dr. Sri Dhatree from Borgess-Lee Memorial Hospital will provide an overview of women and heart disease.
Laura Jordan from Memorial Weight Loss and Bariatric Surgery Center will present information on nutrition and heart health.
Dr. John Hayman from Cassopolis Dental will discuss the often overlooked connection between oral health and heart disease.
