Bobcats, Bucks move trio to regionals

NILES – Kalamazoo Hackett captured the Division 3 District Golf championship on Thursday at Thornapple Creek Golf Club.
The Irish shot 316 to easily outdistance runner-up Kalamazoo Christian, which finished with a score of 327.
Schoolcraft was third (336), Parchment fourth (344), Coloma fifth (360) and Dowagiac seventh (370).
The top six finishes advance to the regionals at Hampshire Country Club on May 30.
Also qualifying as individuals were Brandywine's Dillion Bailey and Chris Rose, along with Buchanan's Adam Houin.
It's the third consecutive year that Houin has reached the regionals.
Rounding out the order of finish were Berrien Springs (374), Brandywine (388), Buchanan (399), Paw Paw (403), Constantine (413), Centreville (433), Watervliet (506) and Bangor 548.
Additional individual qualifiers were Drew Teed (Berrien Springs), Spencer Kaylor (Constantine) and Matt Shull (Berrien Springs).
