NILES – The Niles junior varsity softball team swept a doubleheader from Buchanan on Monday.
The Lady Vikings defeated the Lady Bucks 4-0 and 5-0.
Erica Gordon was the winning pitcher in the opening game for Niles.
Allie Roebeck and Carly Shirrell both had a pair of hits, while Charrissa Spear had a triple.
In the second game, Gordon was again the winning pitcher with Shirrell picking up the save.
Brittney Buti was 2-for-2 with a pair of RBIs. Roebeck added a double.
Niles took on Benton Harbor on Tuesday, however, no results were available at press time.
