Vomish50th
The 50th anniversary of Sue and Jerry Vomish of Dowagiac was celebrated Saturday, May 3, with a family dinner at Timberline Restaurant.
Jerry Vomish and Sue Sanders were married May 3, 1958, at St. Andrew the Apostle Catholic Church, Calumet City, Ill.
They have three daughters, Debbie Luthringer, Dawn King and Doreen Manos, all of Dowagiac. Another daughter, Denise Gonic, is deceased.
They also have nine grandchildren and three step-great-grandchildren.
Mr. Vomish retired in 1988 from International Union of Operating Engineers Local 150, Countryside, Ill., and in 1995 after seven years with Dowagiac Union Schools.
Mrs. Vomish left Montgomery Ward in Munster, Ind., after 15 years working in women's fashions and as customer service manager. They have lived full-time in Dowagiac for more than 20 years.
