Niles man killed on M-60 in motorcycle accident

NILES – A 47-year-old Niles man was killed Thursday morning in Howard Township, after the motorcycle he was riding went off the shoulder of the road and he was thrown to the ground.
Daniel Joseph Ossmer was trailing another motorcyclist at about 11:18 a.m. Thursday going eastbound on M-60, just past Pine Lake Street, when his bike left the pavement and he was thrown off.
Ossmer was transported to Lakeland Hospital, Niles by Southwestern Michigan Community Ambulance Service.
The Michigan State Police was assisted by the Cass County Sheriff's Department, and Howard Township Fire Department.
