NILES – Niles' Courtney Teske and Brandywine's Warren Watson have been named the Leader Publications Athletes of the Week for the Niles Daily Star.
Teske scored 19 points in the Niles girls' basketball victory over No. 11 ranked (Class A) Mattawan.
Watson picked up his 100th career victory at the Brandywine Super Six wrestling tournament to help the Bobcats finish second.
Each week one boy and one girl will be selected as the Athlete of the Week.
The athletes are selected from nominations from their coaches.
