NILES – Everything looks a little greener for Williams Lumber customer Lee Nicks.
Nicks was chosen as the winner of the Williams Lumber and Hardware $1,000 Shopping Giveaway, on Dec. 10. Nicks' name was selected at random from more than 500 entries submitted at the store from Aug. 27 through Nov. 16.
He plans to use his winnings to buy sump pumps for his homes. When asked if he thought he had a chance of winning, he replied, "No, way."
He was excited to hear about his winning the contest.
"I love to shop at Williams because I can find anything I need every time," Nicks said.
"Williams Lumber and Hardware is delighted to provide one of its customers with the opportunity to make their fall projects a little more exciting. Everyone has a few extra chores this time of the year and we're glad that Lee will be able to choose whatever tools he wants to get the job done. We thank all those who entered the giveaway for their participation," said Bruce Williams, owner.
Williams is located at 915 S. 15th St. and has been serving customers in the Niles area for 100 years.
