NILES – Portage West Middle School will once again be the site of four regional cross country meets on Saturday.
Portage will host Battle Creek Central, Grand Ledge, Holland, Holland West Ottawa, Holt, Jackson, Kalamazoo Central, Loy Norrix, Lansing Eastern, Lansing Everett, Lansing JW Sexton, Okemos, Portage Central and Portage Northern for the Division 1 regional.
Competing in the Division 2 regional will be Battle Creek Harper Creek, Lakeview, Benton Harbor, Coldwater, Edwardsburg, Comstock, Marshall, Mattawan, Niles, Gull Lake, South Haven, St. Joseph, Lakeshore, Sturgis, Three Rives and Vicksburg.
The Division 3 regional will consist of Bangor, Berrien Springs, Buchanan, Coloma, Dowagiac, Fennville, Hopkins, Kalamazoo Christian, Kalamazoo Hackett, Brandwyine, Parchment, Paw Paw, Schoolcraft, Watervliet, Wyoming Godwin Heights and Kelloggsville.
Competing in the Division 4 regional will be Benton Harbor Countryside, Bloomingdale, Bridgman, Eau Claire, Gobles, Hartford, Lawrence, Lawton, Marcellus, Howardsville Christian, New Buffalo, Saugatuck, Lake Michigan Catholic and River Valley.
The Division 4 girls' race is scheduled to begin at 10 a.m., with the Division 3 girls' race to follow at 10:30.
The Division 4 boys' race will be held at 11 a.m. and the Division 3 boys' race at 11:30.
The awards for divisions 3 and 4 will be held at noon.
The Division 2 girls' race will be held at 1:30 p.m. and the Division 1 girls' race at 2 p.m. The Division 2 boys' and Division 1 boys' races will be held at 2:30 and 3 p.m. respectively. The awards ceremony will follow at 3:30 p.m.
Admission is $5 per person.
