Two car accident flips Ford Explorer

NILES – At approximately 10:03 p.m. Saturday night, Michigan State Police responded to an accident that occurred at the corner of S. 11th Street and Bell Road in Niles Township.
Two cars were involved, including a Ford Explorer, which flipped upside down.
Both drivers stated they had a green light, however, the 19-year-old driver of one of the vehicles was blamed for running a red light. Alcohol was not a factor in the accident. One person was taken to the hospital.
The Berrien County Sheriff's Department and SMCAS assisted in the accident. Names were not released on Monday morning.
