Bobcats top Bees

BRIDGMAN – The Brandywine varsity volleyball team defeated host Bridgman in a Lakeland Conference match on Wednesday night, 25-20, 25-22 and 25-17.
"Although there were many errors, the girls were able to make it happen in the last conference game of the season," first-year Brandywine coach Sara Eaton said. "Kendra Zache and Katie Smallwood were good leaders on the court tonight. We are looking forward to playing Niles on Monday."
Zache finished the match with seven kills and two aces, while Smallwood had six kills and three blocks.
The Lady Bobcats also got 41 assists and one ace from Emily Low and three kills and three aces from Jenna Harris.
Adrianna Rudlaff contributed a kill and two aces.
The Brandywine freshmen volleyball team defeated Bridgman 25-15 and 25-20.
Kelsey Prestly had six aces and four kills for the Lady Bobcats, who also got four aces from Lauren Hopper and four kills from Alyssa Robbins.
Brandywine was also victorious in junior varsity play.
The Lady Bobcats defeated the Lady Bees 25-20 and 25-17.
Audrey Simmons played well defensively, while Katie Robbins was singled out for her hitting.
Brandywine will host Niles on Monday beginning at 5 p.m.
