Alvin D. "George" Matthews, 51, of Sink Road, Dowagiac, died at 7:41 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 11, 2007, at Lakeland Community Hospital in Niles, from an extended illness.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Monday, Oct. 15, at Halbritter Funeral Home, Niles, with Pastor Terry D. White of Beacon Baptist Church, Niles, officiating.
Burial will be in Mission Hills Memorial Gardens, Niles.
Friends may call one hour before services at the funeral home.
Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association.
