MARSHALL – Three first half goals lifted host Marshall to a 4-0 win over the Niles varsity soccer team in a Big 16 Conference crossover match.
"Tonight was a rough game for us," Niles coach Jerry Holtgren said. "We played a quality opponent and they kept us off our game by being quicker to the ball and more aggressive. Marshall possessed the ball for long periods of time and never lost their intensity. The one bright spot was the play of Zack Bloss, who kept us in the game with some quick reflexes."
