Southwestern Michigan was well represented on the all-state softball teams, which were released on Tuesday.
Dowagiac, Niles and Brandywine each had one first team selection. The Lady Bobcats also had four players selected to the honorable mention portion of the squads, while Cassopolis had one player named to the honorable mention team.
In Division 2, Holly Lowe of Dowagiac and Jenna Ignowski of Niles were first team selections.
Lowe, selected for the second straight year, was named at third base. Ignowski was selected as a pitcher. This is her first time on the all-state team.
Brandywine shortstop Angela Newman was a first team selection in Division 3.
Honorable mention picks for the Lady Bobcats were DeLaina Schroeder, Lauren McCombs, Kendra Zache and Brooke Coshow.
Coshow was a first team selection at third base in 2006.
Cassopolis' Nikitas Nelson was an honorable mention selection in Division 3 as well.
