NILES – The Niles Garden Club is holding its annual "Bloomy Bulbs" sale.
It may seem ludicrous to think about fall planting when we're only on our first or second grass-cutting and trees are just beginning to show their summer splendor. But oh how wonderful are those first blooms that wake up our senses and help us appreciate the beauty that is spring. Now is the time to plan and prepare for next year's spring showing.
In addition to beautifying your garden by filling in empty spots or replacing spent plantings, bulbs can be used in container gardens, or potted and given as thoughtful gifts to friends and family.
Tulip, daffodil, hyacinth, iris and many other varieties of high quality bulbs may be ordered now through May 25 from The Niles Garden Club by contacting Carol Noid (269) 684-3627, Judy Rossow (574) 289-2810, or any other member of the club.
"Bloomy Bulbs' will also be available at The Niles Garden Club's annual Plant Sale on Saturday, May 19 at the Fort St. Joseph Museum. All orders must be prepaid.
