Niles hands Brandywine 8-0 loss Monday

NILES – Niles' varsity tennis team handed Brandywine an 8-0 loss during Monday's non-conference tennis match between the cross-town schools.
The Vikings dominated the court, as the Bobcats struggled to even get a close match in.
Danny Rodts defeated Tyler Espick at No. 1 singles, 6-1, 6-2. Julian Freas handed Billy McDonald a 6-2, 6-3 loss at No. 2 singles.
At No. 3 singles, Travis Bakeman fell to Nate Fink, 6-1, 6-0 and Josh Pugh took a 6-0, 6-1 win over Justin Palmer at No. 4 singles.
In doubles play, Jordan Parks and Zak Herrmann took a 6-1, 6-4 win over Jeremy Hechtl and Dan Whitney at No. 1 doubles.
At No. 2 doubles, Tad Raven and Zache Payne captured a 6-2, 6-4 win over Justin Krueger and Tyler Weeks.
Greg Beaver and Ethan Mason fell to Scott Bailey and Julius Roessner 6-1, 6-4 at No. 3 doubles.
Jon Rothfuchs and Kyle Lee took a 6-2, 6-3 win over Jesse Hochstedler and Tre Brenner at No. 4 doubles.
